classroom expectations
A Checklist for Success
- Bring a pencil to class every day.
- Check Google Classroom daily to stay up to date on what is going on in class.
- Reference teacher website for classroom expectations and policies.
- Respect yourself, others, and the classroom.
- Follow all safety rules when using tools and clean up.
- Stay positive, try your best, ask questions, and most importantly-have fun!
Homework
There will be the occasional homework assignment to journal in your Engineering Notebook, but it will not be graded. Rather, any journal assignment is designed to reinforce topics learned in class or for you to reflect on what you completed in class.
Absences
If you are absent, it is your responsibility to check my website and Google Classroom for any missed assignments. If you are unclear about any assignments, you should email me with any questions you may have. Based on the assignment and length of absence, we will agree on a reasonable due date upon your return.
Extra Help
Extra help is always available. If you feel that you are struggling with a topic or assignment, please make an appointment to meet with me during lunch, before, or after school.
Extra Credit
There will be no extra credit opportunities. Seek extra help throughout the marking period, ask questions, try your best and you will find success.
Email Policy
Emailing is the most convenient way to contact me with questions about what we are learning and about assignments. However, if you are to email me with a question, you must check for a response within a reasonable amount of time. An email does not excuse you from attempting to complete an assignment, and if you do not receive a response or you are still confused, you must stop by in the morning to clarify any questions.
